How to Use and Understand Services and Details in the Service Showcase

This guide explains how services and their associated details work, and how to make the most of them.


What Are Services and Details?

In Sydnee, a Service is something you offer to your clients, such as "PPC Campaign Management" or "SEO Services." These services are global, meaning they are shared across all your client accounts. Once you add a service, it becomes available for any client.

Details are pieces of information you attach to a service to provide more specific context. For example, a detail for the "PPC Campaign Management" service could be a "Google Tag Manager (GTM) ID."

  • Services are global and shared across all accounts.

  • Details are also global, meaning the same set of details is available across all services and accounts.

  • The values (data) you assign to these details are specific to each client account. This allows you to customize the service for each client.


How It Works

1. Adding a Service

You can create a service in Sydnee that you offer to multiple clients, such as:

  • PPC Campaign Management

  • Social Media Marketing

  • Web Development

Once a service is added, it becomes available across all client accounts.


2. Adding Details to a Service

For each service, you can create details to store additional information about that service. For example:

  • PPC Campaign Management might have these details:

    • Google Tag Manager (GTM) ID

    • Monthly Ad Budget

    • Campaign Start Date


3. Assigning Data to Details for Each Account

Each client account can have its own data for these details. For example:

  • Client A (Account 1) - GTM ID: GTM-12345, Budget: $1000

  • Client B (Account 2) - GTM ID: GTM-67890, Budget: $1500

This ensures that while the structure of your details remains the same, the data you input can be unique for each client.


What Happens if You Leave a Detail Blank?

If you don't input data for a detail in a specific account, that detail will simply not show up for that client. This helps keep the client's view clean and focused only on relevant information.

For example:

  • If Client A has a GTM ID but no assigned budget, they will only see the GTM ID.

  • If Client B has no GTM ID but a budget, they will only see the budget.

Example 1: Google Tag Manager ID for PPC Services

  1. Service: PPC Campaign Management

  2. Details:

    • Google Tag Manager ID

    • Monthly Ad Budget

  3. Account-specific Values:

    • Client A: GTM-12345, $1000

Example 2: Hosting Details for Web Development Services

  1. Service: Web Development

  2. Details:

    • Hosting Provider

Yes! That’s the beauty of this system. Services and details are global, but the data is account-specific.

Can I add a link as a value?

Yes! Just add in the URL to the value, your client will see it as a clickable link. If the link is too long we'll shorten it automatically.
