With your portal branding set up, it’s time to bring your first client into Sydnee.

1. Add an Account

From your Backend View, click + New Account

  • Single Account: Add one client at a time by entering their account name and details.

  • Bulk Add: Need to onboard multiple clients? You can add up to 20 accounts at once directly in the app. For larger imports, Sydnee also provides API access.

💡 Each account represents an individual client portal for anyone who has access. Learn more here.

2. Configure the Account

Once the account is created, you can customize it so the client’s portal feels ready for them:

  • Memo Pad: Use this as a scratch pad your clients can see. Add notes, updates, or key info - just remember to publish it so it’s visible.

  • Tasks: Create initial tasks or use a task template to get them started.

  • Files: Upload any files that are relevant to the account

  • Custom Pages & Links: Add new pages to embed tools (like Google Sheets, Calendly, or Figma) or create navigation links that point clients to resources outside of Sydnee.

  • Services: Enable any services that are active for this client, so they show up in the Service Showcase widget on the dashboard.

This setup makes the portal feel personalized the first time your client logs in.

💡 When in the branded portal view, you are configuring the portal as close as possible to how the client will see it when they login. Learn more here.

3. Invite Your Clients

With the account configured, it’s time to give your client access:

  1. In the account dashboard, go to the Portal Access widget on the right hand side and click Invite.

  2. Enter your client’s email address and name.

  3. (Optional) Enable "Notify by email" and add a custom welcome message that will be included.

Your client will log in through your custom portal URL using just their email address - no passwords required.

💡 Sydnee supports using your own custom domain for client access. Head to Domain Configuration in company settings if you are comfortable adjusting your domain's DNS!

Once invited, your client is ready to log in and start using their portal.
