The Sydnee API lets you automate creating accounts, adding your clients, sending requests, and implementing task templates.

This lets you integrate Sydnee deeply into your systems. Whether through a user friendly platform like Zapier, or through direct code - the API gives you the power to make Sydnee a core part of your workflow.

What You Can Do With the API

Create or Archive Accounts (Client Portals)

  • Provision new client portals from your CRM

  • Sync a list of all accounts for reporting

  • Deactivate/archive former clients at the end of an engagement

Manage Access to an Account

  • Automatically invite new clients as part of your onboarding

  • Keep account access in sync with your HRIS or CRM

  • Remove access when a client off boards or a teammate leaves

Add Task Templates to Accounts

  • Standardize onboarding across clients (e.g., “New Client Kickoff”) in a template

  • Add the task template to an account when first created

Manage Tasks on a Board

  • List all task boards for an account, browse sections, and retrieve individual tasks

  • Create top-level tasks or subtasks under an existing task

  • Update task details — title, description, due window, priority, status, and assignees

  • Archive tasks individually or in bulk when work is complete

  • Move tasks between sections or positions within a board

  • Control client visibility per task with the client access toggle

Stay on Top of Deadlines

  • Create reminder rules on any task so your team gets notified ahead of due dates

  • Delete reminder rules when they're no longer needed

Collaborate on Tasks

  • Add or remove collaborators on a task to loop in the right people

  • Post comments and read back the full comment thread

  • Retrieve the task's activity feed to see a full history of changes

Download Task Attachments

  • Generate a secure signed download URL for any file attached to a task

Browse Files, Versions, and Comments

  • Browse an account’s file library, including folders and subfolders

  • Retrieve file details, version history, and comment threads for review workflows

  • Generate secure download links for the latest file or a specific version

Send Requests from Templates

  • Request assets (logos, brand files), credentials, or form inputs

  • Automate client intake from your CRM or campaign management tool
