Recently, we identified and resolved an issue that caused has caused data loss on a small portion of task attachments.

Here’s what happened:

  • The Issue: Our tasks database experienced an unexpected error on November 26th 2024, 5PM PT that caused our task database to go down and some attachments to be lost. While we maintain a backup of tasks once per minute, attachments were not included in the same process.

  • Our Resolution: The bug was immediately addressed and deployed. We backup all of Sydnee's data once per minute, so we were able to successfully able to recover all data in the tasks. Unfortunately, a portion of the attachments attached to the tasks were lost.

  • Moving Forward: To prevent this from happening again, we’ve implemented a new backup system that includes both tasks and attachments. This ensures that all your data is securely backed up every minute.
