This feature is currently in private testing and will be available for everyone shortly.
Deliverables let you package a folder of client-ready files into a clean, view-only experience. When you publish a folder as a Deliverable, Sydnee gives it a client-facing title, highlights it in the client portal, and presents the folder contents in a full-screen viewer designed for reviewing and downloading final work.
A Deliverable:
Gives a folder a client-facing name and polished presentation.
Makes the folder visible in the client portal.
Adds client dashboard alerts for newly shared deliverables.
Lets clients open files in a focused full-screen viewer.
Allows your team to share the deliverable by email and track who has viewed it.
Creating a Deliverable
Click the icon in the folder header area.
Give the deliverable a title. This can be different than the folder name.
If you have custom permissions on the folder, you may need to check a box to agree that you are okay with the permissions changing.
⚠️ Turning a folder into a deliverable will change the view permissions of that folder and all subfolders. Existing custom client permissions will no longer apply and all folders will be view-only for clients.
Once saved, the folder has been turned into a deliverable! Click here to skip down to how your clients will see this in their portal, or keep reading on to understand more about the full screen view.
The Deliverable Full-Screen View
When a client opens a Deliverable, they see the folder contents in a full-screen gallery. This gives them a focused, distraction-free way to review the files you’ve shared, without needing to browse through the full Files module.
Images and videos are displayed in a visual gallery, while other files remain easy to open from the same view. Clicking any file opens the standard file viewer, where clients can preview the file, download it, and leave comments when comments are enabled.
The full-screen view uses the same file and folder order you set inside the original folder. If you want to change the order clients see, open the folder in Files and adjust the sort order there.
From this view, your team can also manage the Deliverable, share it with clients, or download all files at once. Clients can use the same viewer to review and download the files you’ve published.
Sharing a Deliverable
After publishing a Deliverable, you can notify clients directly from the full-screen Deliverable view. Click Share in the top-right corner to open the email composer.
From there, you can customize the subject line, message body, and button text before sending. Use the Name and Deliverable insert buttons to personalize the email with each recipient’s first name and the Deliverable title.
You can also include a summary section that lists what type of files are included, such as photos, videos, PDFs, or other files. The preview on the right shows exactly how the email will look before you choose contacts and send it.
Only published Deliverables can be shared. If a Deliverable is still a draft, Sydnee will ask you to publish it before sending the email.
Deliverable Settings
Use Deliverable Settings to control how a Deliverable appears to clients and to review engagement after it has been shared.
In the Settings tab, you can update the Deliverable title and publish date. The title is separate from the original folder name, so you can give clients a clearer, more polished label without renaming the folder in Files. The publish date is the date shown to clients in the Deliverable view.
The preview at the top shows how the Deliverable card will appear, including the title, publish date, and banner image or file preview.
In the Views tab, you can see which clients have opened the Deliverable. This is useful for confirming whether a client has seen the files you shared.
You can also return the Deliverable back to a normal folder from this settings modal. This removes it from Deliverables, but the folder and files remain in Files.
How Your Clients See a New Deliverable
When a client logs in to their portal, new Deliverables are highlighted automatically.
If the client has not opened a Deliverable yet, they will see a NEW badge on that Deliverable. They may also see a notification card at the top of their dashboard letting them know a new Deliverable is waiting for them.
Clicking View Deliverable opens the Deliverable in a full-screen gallery. This gives clients a focused way to review the files you published without needing to navigate through the full Files area.
Clients can also open the Deliverable from the Files module. The original folder is still available there, but it is presented as a Deliverable with the title, banner, and view-only access you configured.
Once the client opens the Deliverable, Sydnee marks it as viewed for that client and clears the new indicators.
If you need the Deliverable to appear as new again for a specific client, open Deliverable Settings, go to the Views tab, and delete that client’s view. The next time they log in, the Deliverable will show as new again.
Deleting a Deliverable
To remove a Deliverable, open Deliverable Settings and click Return to folder.
This does not delete the folder or any of its files. It only removes the Deliverable version of the folder and returns it to a normal folder in Files.
When you return a Deliverable to a folder, Sydnee also changes the folder’s client permission back to Hidden from client. That means clients will no longer see the Deliverable in their portal, dashboard, or Deliverables view.
If you want clients to access the folder again later, you can either publish it as a Deliverable again or update the folder’s client access settings from Files.
