Opening the Info Panel

  1. Click on any file to open the preview.

  2. In the right-hand panel, click Info.

    • Note: On smaller screens, the Info panel may be the default view when you first open a file.

File Metadata and Details

The Info panel displays key technical and organizational details:

  • File Name & Extension: The current name of the file.

  • Size & Type: The file size and its format (e.g., PDF, Image, Video).

  • Uploaded By: The name and avatar of the person who originally uploaded the file.

  • Upload Date: When the file first entered the account.

  • Current Path: The folder hierarchy where the file is currently stored. You can click the folder names in this path to navigate directly to that folder.

  • Meta data that is parsed after we have finished processing the file

Managing Settings

For team members, the Info panel includes a File Settings button. This opens a dedicated modal where you can override defaults for:

  1. Commenting: Enable or disable the ability for users to leave feedback on this specific file.

  2. Versioning: Control whether new versions can be uploaded to this file.

This panel will also show you if a setting is being inherited from a parent folder or account-wide rule, helping you understand why certain features might be locked.
